Mead Botanical Garden is a 48-acre urban oasis located in the heart of Orange County in beautiful Winter Park.

The Garden is OPEN DAILY from dawn until dusk and is FREE to the public. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in most areas of the Garden provided they remain on a leash and that their owner picks up after them as needed.

There are two butterfly gardens within Mead Botanical Garden. One is located between the Grove performance pavilion and the pole barn, northeast of the Discovery Barn. The other is located to the north of Alice’s Pond, next to the Winter Park Garden Club

The Little Amphitheatre is one of Winter Park’s premier locations for outdoor ceremonies. With its white wrought iron trellis, azaleas and soaring oaks, this venue is rich with Southern charm. The raised stage and tiered bench seating allows up to 225 guests to see, hear and celebrate the exchange of wedding vows.

The Grove area features a raised pavilion with soaring overhead sails, gently sloping lawn, upper terrace and rustic Pole Barn. At 50’x60′, The Grove pavilion is ideal for both wedding ceremonies and seated receptions. Whether you host an elegant garden party, rustic chic affair, or casual picnic, The Grove is the perfect locale for your themed reception. The Grove is located just steps away from the Butterfly Garden, historic Little Amphitheatre and boardwalk, making it convenient for your guests to have a true back to nature experience.

“The Great Duck Derby” is a day of family activities featuring the famous rubber duck races!
